Dan Gross and Rob Pincus have both been involved in the Gun Rights Debate for 25 years... but, they've spent most of it on opposite sides of the fence... or at least they thought they did. Dan Gross was the Co-Founder of the PAX / Center to Present Youth Violence (1998) and President of the Brady Campaign (2012-'17). Rob Pincus is the Executive Vice President of Second Amendment Organization.
In 2019, Rob and Dan were both working as consultants on a firearms technology project. From their first conversation, expecting debates about gun rights & gun control, they found that they had much more in common than most would've thought. Most Important among those things, a common goal: mitigate firearms involved risks while respecting and protecting individual rights.
The Center for Gun Rights and Responsibility seeks to exemplify and promote a new conversation about guns in America. CGRR insists on respecting everyone's perspective, whether a gun owner or not, while working to protect both individual gun rights and lives.
